Rylan Clark leaves fans 'shaken' as he confirms another BBC Strictly Come Dancing change slammed as 'absolutely wrong'

Rylan Clark has confirmed another change to Strictly Come Dancing fans' usual viewing after the semi-final of the dance contest aired on Sunday night (December 11). Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were back on screens to bring viewers the penultimate live show of the 2022 series.

But as fans of the BBC One show are very much aware, Strictly usually airs in a primetime Saturday night slot but due to coverage of the World Cup, viewers have had their weekly viewing disrupted for two weeks in a row. Instead, the crucial semi-final aired on Sunday night, nine days after the quarter-final live show.

The main show aired on Sunday in a Strictly first with the results show, which is filmed the same night but usually airs on a Sunday, airing tonight, Monday, December 13, instead.

Fans watched as Molly Rainford, Hamza Yassin, Helen Skelton, Fleur East and Will Mellor perform two routines in the hope of impressing the judges and viewers at home to earn themselves a place in next weekend's final alongside their professional dance partners.

Wildlife cameraman Hamza fought off close competition from singer and CBBC star Molly to top the Strictly leaderboard in the semi-finals of the competition. He kicked off his bid for the final with a score of 39, the joint-highest score of the night, for his Scottish-themed Charleston to Pencil Full Of Lead by Paolo Nutini with partner Jowita Przystal.

However, his second performance, a waltz to What The World Needs Now by Burt Bacharach, failed to strike the same chord with Shirley Ballas, who noticed mistakes she has “never seen him make”. Despite a score of 37, Hamza began shedding tears after his partner shared some moving words.

The Polish ballroom dancer said to her partner: "First time when I met you, I asked you for the trust and the energy and you gave me much more than that. Seeing you every day going out of your comfort zone, giving me 120% every time… you dance from your heart – thank you for that."

But with a change to schedule, it means Strictly's spin-off show is also on the move. It Takes Two, which usually airs on weeknights at 6.30pm on BBC2, won't air in its usual slot on Monday. It will instead follow the main show at 9pm, co-host Rylan has confirmed.

As he followed along with the latest live show, the 34-year-old was asked by @RachPirie "What’s happening with It Takes Two?" to which he replied: "We’re on at 9pm xx.2 But while fans were pleased that they were still getting their ITT fix, they said the moving of the schedule was 'absolutely wrong'.

Can't wait for the WC to be over!" @STIFFORDBLUE commented: "Absolutely wrong to put results show on Monday we all know the show will be recorded because the finalists will be training." @Ariadne_Reviews wrote: "I thought this was a joke. We have given football too much control."

@graceeex__ replied: "itt straight after strictly is gonna be weird." @strictlyjudge added: "This has shaken me more than a Sunday night live show!"
