As his career continues to go from strength to strength, Rylan Clark has just announced yet another big move.
The popular presenter, who rose to fame on the X Factor 11 years ago, is set to join legendary radio drama The Archers for a special guest slot on Radio 4.
It will be the meeting of two iconic UK institutions as Rylan takes part in the world's longest-running serial drama for a Eurovision special, as writes the Mirror.
Supermarket Sweep host Rylan, 34, will star as himself who has been invited to judge the Eurovision variety show being held in Ambridge, the fictional village the soap is set in.
Drama will soon unfold when Rylan gets lost on the way and the Ambridge residents find themselves competing to be the first to get him in the right direction towards the village.
Rylan said he's happy to be taking on the new challenge, adding to The Sun: "I’m looking forward to getting my wellies on and checking out what Eurovision excitement Ambridge’s residents have to offer as I pop into the iconic Archers."
"I’ve seen some drama throughout my time but nothing compares to what’s about to unfold in Ambridge."
Rylan recently admitted he'll have to be "a bit better behaved' at Eurovision this year as it's being held on home turf when it takes place in Liverpool in May.
The annual singing contest is being hosted in Britain because Ukraine won last year, with an entry by Kalush Orchestra, and there would be major safety concerns if the event was to be held there given the ongoing invasion by Russia.
Eurovision takes place at the Liverpool Arena next month, consisting of semi-finals on May 9 and 11, before concluding with its Grand Final, which will be held on May 13.
Rylan, who has commentated on the event since 2018, told the Radio Times: "My one thing I look forward to is being able to be a punter, and be in a different country where I'm not known.
"The problem is this year it's on home turf – people are gonna know who I am, so I need to be a bit better behaved."
On Saturday we reported Rylan warmed the hearts of many after he was featured in a segment on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
He had viewers in stitches as he was pranked by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly in their Undercover segment.
Rylan thought he was spending a day filming for the song contest held in Liverpool.
However, unbeknown to him, he had been brought to a studio as mayhem broke out with Ant and Dec secretly watching and listening in.
