Rylan Clark appears to have been flooded with questions after he was forced to deny being with 'someone else' after posting a confusing snap on social media. The BBC Radio 2 host has been enjoying some time off work over the festive season.
Following Christmas Day itself, which saw Rylan united with family and friends, including his much-loved mum Linda, he has been unwinding at his stunning Essex home.
And as he relaxed on his sofa on Tuesday evening (December 27) with a blanket and a chocolate bar resting on his leg, fans assumed the telly favourite was also enjoying his evening with a secret other. The suspicion comes more than a year after Rylan, 34, confirmed he had split from his husband Dan Neal after six years.
"That's me sorrrted," he typed alongside the cryptic image. But as he sparked confusion with his snap, Rylan returned to his Instagram Stories with an explanation as he laughed off claims he'd got himself a new love interest.
"I’m eating chocolate and it’s resting on my leg. Not a chocolate ice pack," he started his follow-up post. The Strictly: It Takes Two host then added along with laughing emojis: "Not someone else’s leg. Sadly."
It comes after Rylan teased that his mum, Linda, had 'pulled' on Christmas Day. The former X Factor star spent the festive season with his mum after she suffered ill health towards the end of the year. Taking to Instagram, Rylan posted a snap of his mum alongside a blow-up figure, writing: "She's pulled."
Linda, who regularly makes appearances on Rylan's Radio 2 show on a Saturday afternoon, looked gorgeous in a black jumper dress which she paired with tights for the big day. But Rylan had already earlier posed with the same muscly figure alongside a pal. "We're sorted for Christmas," he joked.
Earlier this month Rylan explained Linda's sudden disappearance from his popular radio show, telling fans that his mum, who suffers from Chrons disease, has been 'poorly' of late.
He wrote on Twitter: "Just a note to say. Mummy Linda hasn't been on the show lately as she hasn't been too well but she’s doing good now… thanks for all your messages. She'll be back tomorrow x" But f ans of the mother-and-son duo, who have also appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox, were quick to send their love and support to them in the replies.
