Rylan Clark defended by fans as he shares stunning look at Christmassy home as he struggles with unwanted guest

Rylan Clark has been defended by his loyal fans after some decided they weren't a fan of his Christmas decorations. Meanwhile, the TV and radio star himself appears to be battling with an unwanted guest.

Taking to Instagram the BBC Radio 2 presenter shared a look at his grand Essex home after the front of the property had been decked out for the festive season. The doors of his plush abode already appeared to be flanked by glitter panels but with the Christmas season upon us, Rylan was willing to add more.

The archway leading to the 34-year-old's front door had been adorned with baubles and festive foliage and plenty of fairy lights to add a warm glow to those dark nights.

"Came home to this. So beautiful," Rylan penned to his millions of followers alongside a snap of the work from what can only be described as being done by some real-life festive elves. "Thank you @earlyhoursltd. Always start the Xmas season right for me."

Skin and beauty expert Nilam Holmes was among the first to reply, writing: " That is stunning and not extra in the slightest." While novelist Kimberley Chambers replied: " Looks fab."

But it appears fans had spotted some negative comments, alluding to the cost of the lavish display, and decided to defend the Strictly It Takes Two host. @butternutt22 said: "People moaning its bleeding decorations. So what if he can afford that? I would if I had that amount of money. I get that most people can't but doesn't mean you should moan just enjoy your xmas."

@joanneworall11 wrote: "Gorgeous! Rylan employed someone to do this…. helping with the economy. God knows we need people willing to pay for service. WELL DONE RYLAN. Have a wonderful Christmas." @melodylee3 added: "Looks wonderful. I joy to come home to n for others to enjoy too. You work hard enjoy it all, we are here for a good time not a long time. You can’t take it with you, no pockets in a shroud xx."

However, as already mentioned, Rylan has bigger things to worry about as he tries to figure out how to be the hostest with the mostest to an unexpected guest in his garden - aka a pheasant.

Sharing a video to his Instagram story on Monday morning (December 5), Rylan could be heard talking as he filmed his back garden. "Morning everyone... just a quick one to say, Patrice is still having a fight with himself," the former X Factor star could be heard saying. "He's woke me up this morning with how loud he's been."

Letting out a sigh, Rylan joked: "I'm thinking of getting an eviction notice but..." he was then interrupted as the bird appeared to be attacking a pole in his garden. "Patrice!" Rylan shouted. "Stop it!" He then continued to film to show his followers just how long he has been before giving him some more stern words. "Patrice, stop it! Come on now."

He then decided to ask his loyal following what pheasants eat but without anything available, Rylan opted for a crisp mix, from Marks and Spencer no less. "I don't really know what else to do to be honest," Rylan admitted as he put some of the salty snacks into a miniature bench he had previously brought for a previous squirrel guest, who he named Susie.

"Look, I've got you a little din dins, " Rylan called as he made his way through the garden. However, Patrice didn't seem interested and as Rylan approached, he flew off. "You rude..." he said before the video cut off.
