Rylan branded 'Scouse' by Eurovision fans after special Liverpool shout out

Eurovision fans branded Rylan as "Scouse" after he issued a special shout out to a Liverpool hotel.

The former X Factor star, 34, has spent the last two weeks in the city hosting Eurovision alongside radio DJ Scott Mills. Rylan took to Twitter last night to share a message to Liverpool and the Radisson RED hotel on Lime Street which he has called home during his stay in the city.

Rylan said: "Liverpool, Thank you so much. Beautiful City, Beautiful People and such a beautiful time.

"Thanks for welcoming me this last two weeks. Special shout to @RadissonRed Liverpool. Your staff have all been unreal and really looked after me (not an ad, paid for it, just credit where credit due) they were great."

Liverpool gym owner Ste Dobie was among those who commented to say Rylan was welcome back any time. He said: "We loved having you and seeing your #Eurovision adventures, always welcome back."

Another fan said: "We have loved, loved, loved having you and seeing you buzz off Liverpool. Come back soon, you're Scouse now."

A third added: "Big shout out to you Rylan for telling the entire UK what a great city with great people. Thank you it's fantastic when we get positive comments like yours. Proud to be a Scouser and we will adopt you any day. Thanks Lad x"

Rylan also shared on an update on his Instagram stories as he made his journey home to Essex. Sharing a selfie from the M6, he said: "From the biggest party on the planet...to sitting on the pavement at a services on the M6. That's showbiz."
