Former Strictly professional dancer Janette Manrara and broadcaster Rylan Clark are both confirmed to return as co-hosts of Strictly spin-off It Takes Two.
The companion show to BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing will be back next month to fill fans in on all the gossip off the ballroom dance floor.
Strictly – It Takes Two dives behind the scenes of Strictly Come Dancing, featuring all the backstage drama, training room titbits and latest Strictly news.
The series also boasts exclusive interviews with the contestants, professional dancers, judges and behind the scenes team, expert analysis and celebrity guest panels.
Strictly – It Takes Two, which airs every weeknight, was previously hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Zoe Ball but has been helmed by Rylan since 2019, with Janette joining him in 2021 after hanging up her Strictly dancing shoes.
Rylan said of the announcement: “I’m so excited to be back at Strictly – It Takes Two for my fourth year. I absolutely love being part of the show.
“I’m so thrilled that my television wife Janette is joining me for the ride and we can’t wait to bring you all the backstage gossip from this year’s Strictly extravaganza. We can’t wait to start.’
Janette said: “I am so thrilled to be back hosting It Takes Two alongside the amazing Rylan!
“I’m very excited to bring the audience more great conversations with our couples, a lot of fun weeknight television entertainment and, of course, to celebrate my favourite show on TV, Strictly!”
This comes as Strictly Come Dancing is set to shake-up a major element of the BBC ballroom dancing show this year to celebrate 100 years of the broadcaster.
The celebrity dance show typically follows a week by week dance format as the couples are whittled down and the finale creeps closer, but there is a new themed week being added to the proceedings this autumn.
Alongside the likes of Halloween, Blackpool and Musicals Week there will be a round of dances dedicated to the BBC, which will see this year's celebs sashay to theme tunes from the Beeb’s most famous shows.
There will also be two BBC-themed professional routines starring Strictly Come Dancing's professional dancers, one of which will be dedicated to the broadcaster's natural history shows while another will see pro dancers "crashing" its flagship programmes.
Strictly executive producer Sarah James said: “We know how much viewers love the Strictly themed weeks so it’s fantastic to be able to announce a new one, celebrating the BBC’s centenary.
"It’s the icing on the cake to be able to confirm that we are returning to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom this year, we can’t wait to get back to Blackpool!”
Strictly – It Takes Two returns on Monday, September 26 on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
