Holidaymakers on a Ryanair flight received an unexpected message over the plane's announcement system after an unhappy worker shared his frustrations towards the company with passengers. Spanish cabin crew working for the airline recently announced that they will stage a walk-out starting at the end of the month over working conditions and pay.
And one staff member made his feelings about Ryanair clear on a flight from Spain to Manchester earlier this month.
The steward could be heard telling a plane full of customers that Ryanair “don’t listen to their staff” as he encouraged passengers to lodge complaints against the airline, the Liverpool Echo reports . The staff member also admitted to customers that he didn’t have “high expectations” for his bosses.

“I do apologise,” the steward was heard saying over the speaker. “If you want to file a complaint please do so - go to Ryanair.com.
“They don’t listen to their staff, they probably care about you more because you give them money,” he added. “Instead we’re costing them money. “So give that a go, see how that goes. After four years I literally - I haven’t got high expectations for them you know,” he finished.
One passenger observed that the staff member seemed “really stressed out” and added that they “felt really sorry for him”. Ryanair declined to comment.
Ryanair are set to hold two separate three-day strikes which will take place on June 24, 25, 26 and 30 and on July 1 and 2. The walk-outs are expected to affect flights in the UK to and from Spain.
The news is the latest development in the summer travel chaos, which has seen hundreds of flights delayed or cancelled due to airline staff shortages. Airport staff say that the ongoing crisis has led to them suffering verbal and physical abuse at work.
