Best for a speedy exit
For those who want to get their holiday off to a flying start, or who have an urgent business meeting to attend, the airline recommends booking a seat on rows 1A, B,C or 2D,E,F as the passengers in these seats are the first on and first off the aeroplane.
Ryanair added that these are the best seats for toilet access too. It said “This seating arrangement is also perfect for anyone who makes a habit of forgetting to use the bathroom before the seat-belt sign comes on. And we all know one of those.”
If you need some extra legroom
Seats on planes can be tight for space, especially if you’ve got long legs; or perhaps you just want some extra room to spread out. Luckily passengers can benefit from more spacious seats in rows 16 and 17.
Ryanair said: “Not only can you look forward to extra legroom, but as soon as you reserve a seat, you’re free to check-in up to 60 days before take-off.”
For the Instagram fans
Whether it's fluffy clouds, a gorgeous sunset or a city lit up at night, the views from the plane can be pretty incredible. If you’re looking for the best spot for the ultimate Instagram-worthy snapshot then these are the seats for you.
Ryanair said: “To capture these absolute beauties, book a window seat that’s located somewhere between rows 15 and 18 – it’s your time to shine.”
For an in-flight nap
Going on holiday is always exciting, but getting up early for your check-in is not. So if you’re planning on using your flight to make up for lost sleep, then there’s one seat which you need to book.
The airline said: “Not a lot of people realise that seat 11A has no window, meaning it’s the perfect seat if you’re planning to catch up on some zzzs during a morning flight. This seat is also a little life-saver late at night when you’ve spent the day travelling and all you want is a few minutes of shut-eye.”
To sit with your friends
There’s nothing worse than not being able to sit with your friends on a flight together, especially when you’re with a big group of people. If you’re heading off on a stag do, hen do or even an away match, there’s a handy option on the Ryanair website so you can book all your seats together.
The airline recommends that you use the group booking tool to reserve your seats, which can be used for groups of 15 or more.
For when you’re feeling hungry
Peckish passengers can enjoy a tasty range of snacks and refreshments on board Ryanair flights - but there’s some seats which are served quicker than others. Ryanair said: “When it comes to in-flight snacks, row 33 or rows 1 and 2 will give you a head start on the rest of the plane. If you’re planning to tuck into some tasty hot food, you’ll be able to get your order in good and early too.”
If you’ve got kids
If you’re travelling with children or teenagers you can select Family Plus, which allows you to select free seats for kids and you can make sure everyone sits together with reserved seating. Under Family Plus you can also benefit from two 20kg checked-in bags and one 10kg bag per passenger.
