Ryanair's savage response to passenger complaining about allocated plane seats

The budget airline Ryanair isn't just known for its affordable flights, but also its hilarious responses to disgruntled passengers on social media.

One flyer recently took to Twitter to complain about their experience checking in for their flight alongside seven others in their party, but they weren't happy about the seats they'd been allocated.

However, the Irish airline was quick to hit back with a witty response, leaving other Twitter users in stitches and wondering why the original passenger had bothered to complain in the first place.

Gloucestershire Live reports that the Twitter user was about to embark on their flight with seven other people they were travelling with, but they were angry to find out they wouldn't be sitting together.

Passenger Grant penned: "I understand selling seats to people with a preference, however, why on earth when I check in a party of 8 for random seats, you literally split everyone in the party up? Really frustrating."

But the airline didn't appear to have much sympathy for Grant as the official Ryanair account retorted: "I chose random allocation & I'm angry that we were randomly allocated."

Another twitter user, Simon, replied: "If you want to sit together pay the £4.99 to select a seat." This prompted Ryanair to say: "Do what Simon says."

A third person seemed to sympathise with Grant as they responded: "In Ryanair you get what you pay for which is not much."

To which the airline responded again with: "If you buy a seat you'll get that seat - crazy."

When flying with Ryanair, you aren't charged for a random seat allocation.

But if you want to book a specific spot and ideally sit next to those who you're travelling with, a standard seat can cost from £3 to reserve.

Seats in the front few rows of the plane can be reserved from £7, with extra legroom seats coming costing from £14.
