Ryanair's 'sassy' response to passenger's check-in cost complaints on social media

Ryanair is known for its cheap flights which help passengers to get away without spending an awful lot of money. But holidaymakers who regularly travel with the airline have come to expect a no-frills experience as part of this.

Things like charging for checked-in luggage can help to keep ticket prices low. Yet sometimes people can be left baffled with exactly how Ryanair operates, Manchester Evening News reports.

One fed-up customer took to Twitter after discovering you have to check in for your Ryanair flight before you arrive at the airport to avoid paying extra costs.

Twitter user Paul Healy wrote: “Another reason not to fly Ryanair If you don’t pay for prebooked seats you can only check in max 24 hours before your departure, meaning you need to check in for your return while away, most likely forgetting and then costing €55 to do it at the airport if <2 hours before flight.”

Ryanair were quick to give a response back. The airline shared a screenshot with the “reminder” function circled with the caption “adulting is hard”.

Other Twitter users were quick to respond with several saying it’s to be expected. Twitter user Bella wrote: “As people said before you get what you pay for!!! I personally love their genuinely affordable tickets.”

Meanwhile Lucy added: “Flew with Ryanair several times and never forgot to check in even during a three day bender in Benidorm.” Twitter user Salvu Agius said: “How can you forget to check in but still remember to go to the airport?”

Another enjoyed Ryanair's response and simply replied: lol #sassy"
