Ryanair's 'sassy' response to customer complaint over check-in cost

Budget airline Ryanair left a 'sassy' response after a customer complained about the check-in times.

The airline has grown a reputation for its tongue and cheek social media posts and they sure kept that tone going after receiving a complaint from a customer on Twitter.

The traveller took to the social media app when he discovered that he had to check-in for the flight 24 hours before to avoid extra charges.

The passenger wrote: “Another reason not to fly Ryanair If you don’t pay for pre booked seats you can only check in max 24 hours before your departure, meaning you need to check in for your return while away, most likely forgetting and then costing €55 to do it at the airport if <2 hours before flight.”

To which the airline quickly responded with a screenshot with the “reminder” function circled with the caption “adulting is hard”, reports the MEN.

Other Ryanair customers replied with many saying it's to be expected. One commented: “As people said before you get what you pay for! I personally love their genuinely affordable tickets.”

Another added: “Flew with Ryanair several times and never forgot to check in even during a three-day bender in Benidorm.”

A third said: “How can you forget to check in but still remember to go to the airport?”

Another enjoyed Ryanair's response and simply said: lol #sassy".

But one user said that online check-in can sometimes feel pointless if you’re dropping luggage off anyway.

He replied: “The real question is, what actually changes if you check in online, you still have to get to the airport hours in advance of your flight, you still have to queue to drop off luggage, still have to show your passport and other docs, what is the point?"
