Ryanair poke fun at Rangers once again despite club's Scottish Cup final success over Hearts

Irish budget airline Ryanair have again taken to Twitter to have a laugh at Rangers' expense following their Scottish Cup final success over Hearts.

Gers faced Hearts at Hampden Park on Saturday and were looking to banish the very recent memories of their Europa League final loss on penalties against Eintracht Frankfurt.

And although the Scottish Cup final headed to extra time after a scoreless 90 minutes, the Gers did not have to face penalties again as goals from Ryan Jack and Scott Wright secured a 2-0 win in extra time.

However, Ryanair's Twitter account couldn't let them enjoy their success and instead posted a tongue-in-cheek tweet which appeared to mock the importance of a Scottish Cup win.

The screenshot they tweeted displayed a Google search where 'what is the Scottish Cup' had been entered.

And it was directly linked to the airline's hilarious tweet from last week which they posted in the wake of Rangers' Europa League final loss against Eintracht Frankfurt.

That initial conversation had spawned when a social media user tweeted Ryanair a picture of the Eintracht Frankfurt carrying the Europa League trophy through the airport.

The tweet asked: "How much to carry this on lads?"

To which Ryanair responded: "Trophy free, we'll charge for Rangers tears instead."

Thus, the Europa League final loss against the German club is still haunting the Gers despite their domestic success.

Frankfurt's club president Peter Fischer even took a pop at Rangers fans after the German side triumphed in Seville.

He said: "We had respect for our opponents. It was a fixture worth a final. Two big, traditional clubs, both with big fanbases.

But what I have to say is that everybody from Glasgow told me "we won't hear you, because we will be so loud and that we will make it a home game. They still said that today everywhere.

"Where have they been? Where in the world have they been? We couldn't hear them and then they disappeared after the final whistle. This shows there is less sportsmanship and that's what I criticise.

"Our fanbase helped us win the game, they were fantastic against the 'super louds'."
