Ryanair issues travel warning to passengers with flights in November

Ryanair have issued a warning to customers who are planning to fly in November.

Those who fly with the budget airline need to check-in online or face a hefty fine. If they don't check-in online within 24 hours before their flight, they will be charged £55 for checking in at the airport - unless the airport does not provide online check-ins.

However, Ryanair have warned customers that the website and app will be down for 11 hours next month - meaning passengers won't be able to check in during this time.

The website will be down from 6pm on Tuesday November 8 until 5am on Wednesday November 9. Any customers who have flights around these dates will need to ensure they check-in before the evening on Tuesday.

On a statement on their website, Ryanair said: "Due to planned maintenance, Ryanair website/app will be temporarily down from 6pm Tuesday, 8pm – 5am Wednesday, November 9.

"Customers who are due to fly during this 11-hour period should check in online before 6pm on November 8."

This comes as the airline announced a new route from Edinburgh to London as the aviation industry continues its recovery from the pandemic.

The Irish carrier will operate 14 flights a week between the Scottish capital and Stansted with its Winter ’22 schedule boasting 57 flights between the two airports.
