Ryanair confirms new winter routes with extra services to Poland and Portugal

No-frills airline Ryanair has confirmed it is adding a new service to a popular Polish destination for winter. The route from Bydgoszcz to Bristol starts from October 30.

The carrier already flies to Dublin, Birmingham, Luton and Stansted from the Polish airport and the Bristol service will operate twice a week. Ryanair’s director of commercial, Jason McGuinness, said: “Ryanair is delighted to announce a new route for our Bydgoszcz W’22 schedule to Bristol, giving our customers more choice of destinations than ever before.

Edward Hartwich, of Bydgoszcz Airport, added: "Another direction joins the network of connections operated by Ryanair from Bydgoszcz Airport. Extending the offer for our passengers is one of the goals we are currently pursuing. In the winter season, the Irish carrier will operate flights to Dublin, Birmingham, London Luton, London Stansted, as well as to the currently announced Bristol.”

Ryanair has also revealed it will extend services to Faro in Portugal during the winter months. Flights will depart twice a week from Cardiff, on Wednesdays and Sundays, starting on October 30.

Spencer Birns, Cardiff airport chief executive, said: “It is fantastic news that Ryanair is extending its Faro flying programme at Cardiff airport into the winter season, providing an increased choice of holiday options for those people looking to escape later in the year. Famous for its great weather, fantastic beaches and delicious local food, Faro, and indeed Portugal, is an in-demand destination from Cardiff at any time of the year.”

The airline's Jason McGuinness added: "Ryanair is delighted to announce a new Winter route and extend the service of the Cardiff to Faro route for W’22. Our Cardiff customers can now plan a Winter getaway to the Algarve and enjoy some of the best beaches Portugal has to offer."
