Ryanair bans James Corden and Twitter has a field day

Ryanair has announced that they have banned comedian James Corden from their flights.

The joke annocunement came shortly after the New York restaurant, Balthazar, revealed that they had banned the TV host for being rude to staff.

While the spat only lasted a few hours before an apology was issued and Corden was forgiven, that didn’t stop Ryanair from joining in on the conflict - purely as a joke.

Many social-media users praising the airline for its decision, while admitting the comedic value of a Hollywood celebrity being banned from a budget airline.

Twitter users have taken the opportunity to flood their feeds with creative jokes and memes ever since.

A Twitter user named Justin Whang reshared a post of James Corden and Kanye West together, dubbing them “the most cancelled men in America”, and said: “Alright, being friends with James Corden is where I finally draw the line.”

Another joked: “BREAKING: James Corden has been banned from the general Yorkshire area, nowhere specific.”

A third chimed in, joking: “James Corden might be a lot of things, but I draw the line at him being labelled a comedian.”

The joke comes following the recent news that the New York restaurant, Balthazar, revealed that the TV host has been “extremely nasty” to its staff members on more than one occasion.

According to restauranteur Keith McNally, the first time Corden was abusive in his establishment was after the Late Late Show frontman found a strand of hair in his dish.

Reportedly, Corden demanded that the staff bring the table a free round of drinks and pay for all the drinks they’d had thus far if they wanted to avoid him writing up a “nasty” review.

The second incident, McNally said, occurred on October 9, when the comedian was having brunch with his wife, who ordered an egg-yolk omelette.

When their order arrived, James Corden was unhappy about there being a “little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk” and asked for the dish to be remade.

The remade dish was accidentally sent with a side of fries instead of salad, which allegedly led to Corden yelling at the server about his incompetency.

However, shortly after the restauranteur shared these incidents in an Instagram post, he offered his followers an update, saying: “James Corden just called me and apologised profusely. Having f***ed up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances.”

Adding: “All is forgiven.”
