RYANAIR has announced it now offers flights to a popular Mediterranean island from Glasgow Airport.
The budget airline has unveiled its new twice-weekly service, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from Glasgow to Malta starting from April 1.
Flights to what the airline describes as “one of the Mediterranean’s most popular destinations” is Ryanair’s seventh route from Glasgow.
Holidaymakers can also fly to Alicante, Brussels, Dublin, Krakow, Malaga, and Wroclaw with the airline from Glasgow.
Mark Beveridge, managing director at Glasgow Airport, said he can’t wait for Scots to be able to explore Malta’s rich history, stunning coastline, and vibrant culture.
“We are delighted to welcome Ryanair’s new direct service to Malta, which marks the airline’s seventh route from Glasgow Airport,” he said.
“This new connection will provide our passengers with greater flexibility and convenience when travelling to one of the Mediterranean’s most sought-after destinations.
