Ryan Tubridy has ruled himself out as a dance contestant on next year’s Dancing With The Stars.
The broadcaster, who announced last week he would be leaving The Late Late Show in May, said: “That’s a hard no. It’s never going to happen.
“I have tried to dance at the Toy Show year in year out. I hate it. I really dislike it intensely as I am not coordinated. I’m always so impressed by the contestants as it takes so much discipline.”

Speaking about his departure, he told his listeners on RTE radio: “I feel relieved and liberated – not because I was any way incarcerated. I’m just very happy the decision is out there.”
While there is no official word on who will replace Ryan, Boylesports have Claire Byrne as the 6-4 favourite.
Ryan said: “Very quickly after I announced the decision to leave, I did an interview with Claire Byrne. She was great. The conversation turned beautifully to who is next and I thought… and off you go.
“And good luck. It’s someone else’s turn now. I hope they will be brilliant. They don’t need any advice from me. They can look forward and into the future and do it their own way.
“I look forward to watching the show if I’m not out. Career-wise, I’m just changing lanes. But I’m still moving. I’m not leaving the radio show today or tomorrow.
“I love it here. So hang in there, as well. I’ve 10 more Late Late shows to go. People have been so very, very kind. I really appreciate it.”
Ryan revealed he spent Saturday afternoon relaxing by the fire as he watched Ireland beat England. He told his audience: “The Grand Slam was a joy to watch. I’m very happy for Johnny Sexton.
“I had a great chat with him in the dressing room before the Late Late last time he was on. We were talking about hanging up the jersey.
“I think he’s going to be really happy as he has a beautiful family and he really cares about them.”
