Whisper it – but I believe I'm witnessing the best Hearts side for at least three decades.
Much of that is down to Liam Boyce.
Season 1991-92 saw my old club finish second in the top-flight and split the Old Firm, John Robertson also scored 20 goals and was the last player to reach that landmark.
Boyce is sitting on 15 so far and has time to smash that record. This is a Hearts side which only lacks a bit of consistency and if that comes next season then would it be the best side in 30 years? Undoubtedly yes.
European football is about to be booked for the first time in six years, there's the prospect of some huge continental clubs coming to Tynecastle next season.
They have a decent cushion in third place and the fans want their team to finish the campaign in some style.
Saturday's Scottish Cup quarter-final clash against St Mirren is huge, if Hearts are to cement themselves as the proper team I believe they are then they need to land some silverware. Let's remember where they were last season, it's a remarkable rise for a club coming up from the Championship.
Now to Boyce and his goal target.
It's taken me by surprise for a few reasons. Firstly, I didn't know Liam was within distance of that landmark and secondly, it's incredible that a player of the talent of Rudi Skacel didn't smash that barrier.
Wee Robbo has a monopoly on most of the scoring at Hearts but it would be some achievement if Liam can get up alongside him in the goal stakes. The fact Robbo's been the only player to reach 20 goals in a single season shows just how difficult a feat it is.
You look at some of the striker's who've operated at Tynecastle over the last three decades, some exceptional talents, but none of them has hit the 20 mark so it would be brilliant for Liam if he can get there.
It highlights the difficulty of any club finding an out-and-out goal scorer and boys such as Kyle Lafferty, Andrius Velicka, Paul Hartley and Rudi scored goals but nowhere near the rate of Robbo.
During my time at the club there wasn't really a natural finisher, it's hard to find a penalty box predator and it's why they are in such demand for big, big money. I was shunted all around the pitch and moved up from midfield to play as a striker but the reason we did so well was because there were four or five boys who would weigh in with goals.
These boys would hit low double digit figures for a season, what a difference it makes if a midfielder is bringing 10, 11 or 12 goals to the table during each campaign.
That would compensate for the lack of a poacher and then we had Rudi who would always score between 10 to 15 goals every season, each one would be more spectacular than the next.
For Hearts to move to the next level and stay at that level then there are a few key positions which are key to every successful side.
A good goalkeeper, a strong and commanding centre half, a playmaking midfielder and a guy at the top of the pitch who will score you between 15 to 20 goals a season. Boyce is now doing that and I'm backing him to reach 20.
Saturday's draw at Dundee United was more than acceptable given the injuries Robbie Neilson had to contend with.
It was a game which was always going to have a high degree of difficulty as United are doing okay this season and it is always a difficult place to go to.
What I saw once again from the team was them flying through a test of character when they went 2-1 down and came back to get the draw. It showed exactly what this team is all about.
Any time the team has been knocked this season or you think they are going to get knocked, they have come up with the answers.
This squad appears to have the collective spirit to find a way back and that's reflected in the position they have in the league. It's taken three decades to find a team like this one.
