Wrexham secured a return to the Football League after a 15-year absence when they beat Boreham Wood in front of an ecstatic Racecourse crowd last weekend.
Phil Parkinson's men came from a goal down to earn the three points they needed to claim the National League title and see off the threat of closest challengers Notts County who have pushed them all the way. Both sides have broken the previous points record for the division but with only one automatic promotion spot available, the Magpies will now have to tackle the play-offs.
For Wrexham, a return to League Two awaits and there is plenty of optimism in North Wales that the momentum generated since the takeover of the club by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney can continue. The pair have invested in the non-league side and increased their profile on both sides of the Atlantic.

The club are playing a pair of summer friendlies in the States against Manchester United and Chelsea and hopes are high that their promotion can be the catalyst for further success. Reynolds has asked fans to dream of one day hitting the heights of the Premier League and early indications with the bookmakers suggest a second successive promotion could be on the cards.
Paddy Power make Wrexham Evens to earn promotion to League One next term while Paul Mullin is 7/1 to be top scorer having plundered goals since swapping Cambridge for North Wales. Ben Foster, who was tempted out of retirement to join Wrexham in the closing stages of the campaign, is 5/1 to win the Golden Glove next term even though he has not yet indicated whether he will be playing on. And the Irish bookmaker have Wrexham at 6/4 to lure another former Premier League star to the Racecourse.
