Rangers star Ryan Kent is reportedly attracting interest from Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa and Leeds United as the clock ticks down on his Ibrox contract.
The 25-year-old is approaching the end of his current deal and is yet to strike an agreement over extended terms with Gio van Bronckhorst's side. Kent could agree a pre-contract move away from Ibrox for free in January. The club had previously been confident of negotiating a new deal, while managing director Stewart Robertson has stated that talks remain ongoing over extending the winger's contract and keep him in the Scottish Premiership.
The Sunday Mirror claim that both Villa and United will watch Kent when Rangers clash with Liverpool in Champions League as they weigh up a January approach to test the resolve of the Ibrox chiefs. Jesse March's side have previously shown an interest in bringing Kent to Elland Road when Marcelo Bielsa was in charge of the club.
Gerrard brought Kent to Rangers from Liverpool, initially on loan, back in 2018. He could look to hand the the forward his chance in the Premier League.
It has been a sluggish start to the campaign for Kent at Rangers. He netted his first goal of the season during the 4-0 rout of Hearts at Tynecastle.
