Ryan Kent handed ruthless Rangers 'doesn't have end product' verdict as he's compared to Celtic ace

Ryan Kent has been told he is better technically than Celtic star Liel Abada - but he has nothing on what the Israeli can do in terms of output.

The 20-year-old Hoops winger was one of the stars of Saturday's derby that put the Premiership champions five points clear in first. He netted twice while Jota and David Turnbull also grabbed goals as they smashed Rangers 4-0 ahead of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men returning to Champions League group stage football against Ajax.

Kent, like many of his teammates, had an off at Parkhead and he was partly responsible for the first goal where Celtic took a quick throw-in that caught him napping in a defensive area. Speaking on Sportsound, Michael Stewart says that the Rangers winger has to start delivering on a regular basis like his counterpart across the city. The former midfielder said: "Talking about the difference between the teams, Ryan Kent has got a lot more technical ability than Liel Abada.

"You look at Kent and think he is a wonderful player, but his end product is nothing compared to Abada's. Abada has scored two, he is a constant threat and knows how to hurt the opposition.

"When you watch Ryan Kent, he does it in flashes, but he looks like a player to me that doesn't know where to hurt the opposition and how he can affect the game.

"It happens sometimes but not by design - it just happens for him. He is a player who doesn't have end product."
