Ryan Gravenberch pictured wearing Liverpool shirt after interest in midfielder 'stepped up'

The name on every Liverpool fans lips is Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch following reports that Jurgen Klopp's side are 'stepping up' their interest.

It has been claimed that representatives from Merseyside met with the 20-year-old's father, Ryan senior, in Holland this week as they push to get their midfield targets sealed early. The news comes days after the Reds cooled their interest in long-standing target Jude Bellingham as they pulled out of the pursuit for the in-demand 19-year-old.

There are a number of midfielders out of contract in the summer at Anfield and with the drop off in form from Fabinho, a summer upheaval is in the offing following the toughest period of the German's tenure.

The Times have reported that Liverpool met with Gravenberch's father - who oversees his career - to discuss a summer move as his playing-time with Bayern Munich remains limited.

They continue to say that the 11-time Holland international could be worth as much as £25m - some £105m off the rumoured price tag of the Borussia Dortmund starlet. With Liverpool's links with the former Ajax man intensifying, images emerged of Gravenberch wearing a Liverpool kit.

The snap originated from Leandro Fernandes' Instagram which showed the midfielder posing wearing a Reds strip from the Premier League-winning campaign with the Club World Cup and FA Cup badges visible. Although it remains to be seen when the image was first posted.

The story surrounding Gravenberch comes three months after his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, was in attendance for Liverpool's goalless draw with Chelsea. During that period, the Dutchman was linked with a January move to Liverpool which ultimately didn't come to fruition.

His debut season in Bavaria has been far from memorable as he has managed just 18 Bundesliga appearances, four percent of which saw him named in the starting XI.
