Ryan Garcia Next Fight: 'King Ry' Set For Boxing Return In 2025

It has been confirmed that the Ryan Garcia next fight has been postponed, with the American boxer sustaining an injury setback. After he recovers from injury, who will ‘King Ry’ face on his return to the ring in 2025?

Ryan Garcia Next Fight: When Will ‘King Ry’ Return To The Boxing Ring?

Ryan Garcia is without a doubt one of the biggest stars in the sport of boxing right now. The American super-lightweight fighter is widely regarded as one of the best fighters on the planet, not to mention being one of the most controversial too.

After his last fight got overturned to a no contest due to a failed drugs test, boxing fans want to know when exactly they can expect to see ‘King Ry’ back in the professional ring. Well, the 26-year-old was supposed to return to action on December 30th, but the fight was cancelled due to Garcia undergoing wrist surgery.

The Ryan Garcia next fight was supposed to be against RIZIN star Rukiya Anpo in a boxing exhibition. However, that fight has now been postponed whilst ‘King Ry’ recovers from injury. Due to the fact Garcia is serving a ban from the professional ring until June, it is likely his exhibition with Anpo will go ahead before the summer.

Ryan Garcia’s record currently sits at 24-1 (1 NC), consisting of 20 knockout victories and four decision wins. The American is arguably one of the biggest stars in US boxing, as well as being one of the most accomplished and popular.

The only defeat on Garcia’s resumé came to Gervonta Davis, with ‘King Ry’ hopeful of one day avenging that defeat. After his exhibition with Rukiya Anpo is done and dusted, expect to see Garcia back in the professional boxing ring in late 2025. He is a superstar and the sport of boxing needs him.

It comes as no surprise to learn that the Ryan Garcia next fight sees him as a comprehensive favourite with the best UK betting sites. Not only that, but the American is fully expected to stop his Japanese counterpart in emphatic fashion.

Could Ryan Garcia Rematch Devin Haney In 2025 or Face Teofimo Lopez?

Although it seems that the Ryan Garcia next fight will be against Rukiya Anpo once he returns from injury, boxing fans will be hoping he clears his name once and for all and returns to action against legitimate professional boxers.

The appetite will be there for a Devin Haney rematch, given how the first fight played out and the aftermath of the contest. ‘King Ry’ looked lost and out of control in the build up to the Haney fight, before missing weight the day prior to the fight.

Fans thought he was in for a hiding against the best super-lightweight in the world, but instead he put on a boxing clinic, dropping Haney three time on course to a majority decision victory over his American rival.

However, this win was later turned to a ‘no contest’ due to Garcia failing a performance enhancing drugs test. Garcia has protested his innocence, but was suspended from the ring for a year due to the Ostarine found in his system.

Thus, ‘King Ry’ is cleared to fight from June 2025 and will likely resume his boxing career. A rematch with Haney could be on the cards, as could a super-fight with WBO champion Teofimo Lopez, or perhaps a move up to welterweight to face someone like Jaron Ennis or Conor Benn.

Given his performance against Devin Haney last time out, the best boxing betting sites in the UK will likely have Ryan Garcia as a favourite against any opponent. Time will tell what is next for ‘King Ry’, but boxing fans are certainly excited at seeing the 26-year-old back in the boxing ring in 2025 and beyond.
