Ryan Day’s fake fainting reaction to learning the No. 1 Signing Day prospect was joining Ohio State is priceless

Do you know what the most underrated part of National Signing Day is? It’s the fact that they usually learn that players are signing on with their programs at the same time we do.

That means, up until the moment it gets announced, they’re in the dark just like the rest of us are — especially when it comes to the top recruits in the class.

It’s extremely stressful, I’m sure. But, hey, man. Guess what? I wouldn’t know. I’m not a coach! My job isn’t to worry — it’s to watch them worry and turn it into amazing content. Shoutout to Ryan Day for feeding the machine.

The Ohio State head coach learned that Jeremiah Smith, the top recruit of the 2024 class, is committing to a future with the Buckeyes.

Day found out while at a press conference and you can just see all the relief hit him at once. He can’t even say actual words in the moment. He doesn’t even remember what question he was asked.
