Scotland boss Steve Clarke will be anxiously awaiting updates on Ryan Christie’s fitness ahead of next month’s UEFA Nations League play-off double-header against Greece.
The Bournemouth midfielder was forced off just 26 minutes into Tuesday night’s English Premier League clash at Brighton, with manager Andoni Iraola later confirming that Christie has been managing a groin issue throughout the season.
Iraola admitted post-match that the 30-year-old "felt something different" and will be assessed to determine the extent of the problem.
If the injury proves to be serious, it could sideline Christie for a crucial period, potentially ruling him out of Scotland’s March fixtures.
Christie has been a key player for Bournemouth this season, helping them stay just three points off a Champions League spot with 11 games to go.
