A Rwandan man residing in Ohio has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Boston for his alleged role in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Eric Nshimiye is accused of committing heinous acts during the genocide, including using a machete to kill individuals and participating in the rape of women.
Nshimiye is facing charges of falsifying information, obstruction of justice, and perjury. It is alleged that he lied about his actions during the genocide in order to enter the United States as a refugee in 1995 and later obtain citizenship.
