Rutherglen Glencairn's Fraser Malcolm knows refereeing decisions didn't fall kindly for his side against Kirkintilloch Rob Roy - but there's still some hope for survival.
The South Lanarkshire club's West of Scotland Football League Premier Division battle against the drop took a dent during a 2-1 loss on Saturday, in controversial circumstances.
Referee Ross Clark dished out a red card to Glens' Tam Miller after 12 minutes and gave two penalties away against Willie Harvey's team, with assistant Joe Pryce calling it the most 'disgusting' display he's witnessed.
Despite this, the Hamish B. Allan Stadium side battled on but it wasn't enough as Luke Kelly and Craig Scott goals proved too much to overcome, despite Malcolm's late goal and Kerr McCormick's red card.
It leaves Glens 13th and one spot above the relegation zone. They have one game to go against Pollok next weekend but the two teams directly below them - Largs Thistle and Glenafton Athletic - have games in hand.
Malcolm said: "It's hard to take, obviously, The boys worked hard and that is all we can do when it comes to a game like that.
"The referee's decisions went against us but as for the players, we couldn't have asked for more. We put all of our effort into it so we are left disappointed.
"Towards the end of the game we had to throw players at it. There were chances in there for us where the ball maybe could have dropped to us and we could have got that second goal.
"We get a point then but it's just your luck."
While his team were hard done by, the Rutherglen Glencairn star insists all focus is on themselves while hoping for the best elsewhere.
He added: "All we can do now is go and get three points next week and hope that other teams can do us a favour.
"If we put in that same performance away at Pollok with how hard we worked, then I am sure we can go and get three points."
