Rutherglen Glencairn will play in the Scottish Cup for the first time in their 126-year history after the West of Scotland League club were granted full membership of the Scottish Football Association.
Glencairn's acceptance comes into effect from the Scottish FA's AGM on June 21.
That means they can play in the flagship competition for the first time, having submitted their application in October.
Secretary Peter Ferguson said in a statement: "This is the culmination of a project which has been ongoing for nearly three years.
"However, it has been a particularly intensive period of work for the club's management committee, since the club's members gave their approval to the committee to make a formal Scottish FA membership application last October.
"We are particularly delighted to bring Scottish Cup and senior football back to the Royal Burgh of Rutherglen, and we look forward to the whole town getting behind their own senior football club as we set out on this new adventure and era in our history."
