Ruth Langsford to make This Morning comeback tomorrow with Rylan after nearly a year away

Ruth Langsford is making a return to This Morning alongside Rylan Clark, after nearly a year away.

Ruth, 62, will be presenting the ITV show next week for the first time since October 2021, and after her co-presenter and husband Eamonn moved to GB News.

She announced the exciting news on her Instagram today, sharing a video montage of herself and Rylan dancing and singing while presenting the programme.

Underneath, Ruth wrote: Excited to be reunited with my TV son @rylan on @thismorning tomorrow….let the fun begin! Hope you can join us at 10.00 am on @itv."

Rylan then responded: "ONE WEEK ONLY MUTHHHAAAA . See u in the morning gorgeous x"

Replying, Ruth said: "Can't wait!" followed by a love heart.

Viewers and fans were overjoyed by the news, with TV cook Juliet Sear writing: "It's been too long!!"

Celebrity MasterChef winner Riyad Khalad said: "Will be watching you beauts!"

A fan said: "Cannot wait to see you both #legends."

This Morning's official Instagram page celebrated the news, sharing a picture of Ruth and Rylan with their arms around each other on the sofa, and writing: "Guess who's back... Come and join @ruthlangsford and @rylan all this week on #ThisMorning."

Eamonn and Ruth presented This Morning on Fridays before they were replaced by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond (Rex)

Model Lisa Snowden welcomed the good news on the post with a simple "Yay!" Followed by several love hearts.

This Morning vet Dr Scott Miller wrote: "Save some hugs for me you two", again followed by two love heart emojis.

Ruth and Eamonn, 62, anchored the show on Friday but were replaced by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.

The pair acted as stand-ins until Eamonn left after 15 years, with him then moving to GB News.

Ruth continued to appear on another ITV audience puller, panel show Loose Women.

Eamonn revealed in an interview with the Mirror that he no longer watched This Morning as it would be "too sensitive".

He also said fans regularly approach him in the street to ask about why they aren't presenting the show still.

When asked about if he still tunes in, he said: "It would be too... sensitive. I mean, I spend every day going out on the street and people saying, ‘Why are you and Ruth not on any more?’"

Eamonn has since joined GB News on the breakfast show.

During his interview with The Mirror, Eamonn expressed his frustration at not being told why he was let go from ITV and insists he didn't quit for GB News.

"I wish somebody would show me the email or the letter or that I was sent to say, ‘Eamonn, this is why this is coming to an end’, the TV presenter said.

"But to tell lies, that I left them to go to GB News...I didn’t – they left me. Let’s get it straight. They left me. I don’t care, because our audience is only up."

A spokesperson for ITV said in response: "This isn’t a version of events that we recognise and as we have said before we wish Eamonn all of the very best."
