Ruth Langsford sparks concern for Eamonn Holmes over his 'soul-destroying' pain

Ruth Langsford has sparked concern amongst fans after sharing a video without her husband Eamonn Holmes as he battles "soul-destroying" chronic pain.

The Loose Women panellist shared a video of her Christmas on Instagram, but Eamonn was nowhere to be seen in the festive clip. Instead, 62-year-old Ruth had fun with the couple's pet dog Maggie.

GB News presenter Eamonn has been struggling from chronic pain and has been having a variety of different treatments.

He has been suffering from a dislocated pelvis and a trapped sciatic nerve, among many other health concerns.

Ruth's followers were worried when Eamonn was left out of her Christmas video and rushed to the comments to ask for an update on her husband.

Eamonn recently opened up about his health struggles and said having to depend on others was "soul-destroying".

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, he wrote: "Worked hard at my physio this morning.

"Very tiring but I've now sat on my backside for 5 hours and feel bad about doing nothing... lack of mobility & depending on others stops me doing really simple things.

"For peace of mind I feel another round of foot exercises coming on."

Fans have offered the reporter their support (PA)

One fan wrote: "I feel your pain I had 6 months of physio 2 hours a night 5 a week. I hated relying on folk.. but the one thing was NO one will ever understand how awful Physio is and how exhausting."

In response, Eamonn commented: "Relying is soul destroying."

Another fan wrote: "Keep going we miss you on TV."

"Thank u x," Eamonn replied.
