It may have been scorching weather across the UK over the last few days but Ruth Langsford was left hot under the collar thanks to a throwback photo of her husband.
The Loose Women presenter, 62, was left wanting more as Eamonn Holmes, also 62, posted a photo on Instagram from 1980 in a fitting tribute to Wimbledon.
The GB News anchor was watching the Wimbledon men's singles final between defending champion Novak Djokovic and Australian Nick Kyrgios on Centre Court on Sunday afternoon.
Djokovic went on to win in four sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 7-6 (3), to claim his 21st grand slam title of his career but it was the throwback photo that got plenty of tongues wagging on social media.
Holmes posted the photo where he was posing for the camera while lying on a grass tennis court in a white and black Adidas outfit with very short shorts in true 1980s style.
He wrote: "Circa 1980...Maybe I could have been a contender if I'd have stuck at it. What a day to play #scorcher️ #wimbledon #Djokovic #kyrgios #Mensfinal."
Ruth, who has been married to Eamonn since 2010, was quick to comment on the snap as she had a burning question.
Accompanied with a fire emoji, she replied: " Have you still got those shorts?!!!"
Eamonn quipped back: " Yeah but I can't get them above my ankles," with a crying laughing emoji.
The veteran presenter also had several other celebrity women drooling over him, with actress Laila Rouass saying: "Oh Eamonn. Now I’m really hot & bothered" followed by a fire emoji.
He responded by saying: "Doesn't bear thinking about ... but the things we did back then . Short shorts were definitely a thing .... it wasn't just me."
Vanessa Feltz commented: "You are still hot hot hot", fellow TV presenter Lucy Alexander wrote: "New balls please" and Anthea Turner said: " Freaking Hell mate!!"
This comes after Eamonn won his first major award since moving from ITV to GB News earlier this year, and wasted no time blasting his former channel after his victory.
During his acceptance speech, the TV star gave a warning to Good Morning Britain - telling the ITV show he and GB News were "coming for them" in the ratings war.
Speaking after collecting his honour on stage, Eamonn took a swipe at former employer ITV - branding their press office "ministry of lies" and claiming he has never slagged them off, merely "set the record straight."
The veteran broadcaster beat Stephen Dixon, Victoria Derbyshire and Clive Myrie to win the New Presenter honour at the Tric Awards last Wednesday.
