A Russian influencer is facing six year in prison after she was posed naked for a photoshoot next to a sacred tree in Bali.
Alina Fazleeva shared the raunchy snaps, which feature her standing next to the holy 700-year-old tree, with her 16,000 Instagram followers.
Now, the social media star could be sentenced to jail on pornography charges after a Balinese entrepreneur, Niluh Djelantik, discovered the images and notified police.
The businessman decided to report the model as the centuries old tree, known as kayu putih and located at Babakan Temple in Tabana, is considered blessed by locals, the Mirror reports.
The naked photoshoot has caused uproar with locals and now immigration officials are tracking down the influencer.
Under the country's strict laws, if the Russian influencer is convicted she'll be hit with a £78,000 fine and face six years in jail, due to the Information and Electronic Transactions Act (ITE).
She has since deleted the photos on Instagram after the local backlash and issued an apology, next to the tree, on her Instagram page.
In the video she said: "I apologise to all Balinese and Indonesian people, I regret my actions.
"I'm so embarrassed, I didn't mean to offend you in any way, absolutely no knowledge of this place.
"I just prayed under a tree and went straight to the police station to explain this incident and apologise."
Local authorities confirmed Alina has voluntarily turned herself to the police and a Tabanan spokesperson Ranefli Dian Candra said the case will be looked into and processed.
