Russian officials have condemned the attack as a 'terrorist act' and accused Ukraine of orchestrating it. President Vladimir Putin has not publicly addressed the incident, but Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov expressed condolences for Kirillov's death.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of Russia’s Security Council, characterized the attack as a diversion tactic by Ukraine and warned of repercussions for its military leadership.

Unanswered Questions:

While the suspect has been detained, details about his recruitment and the exact circumstances of the attack remain undisclosed. The suspect is expected to appear in court in the coming days for pre-trial detention.
