On Friday night, air raid sirens blared in Kyiv as Russia persisted in its assault on Ukraine. The regions of Odesa and Kharkiv were also targeted by drone attacks, resulting in devastating consequences.
In Odesa, the head of the military administration, Oleh Kiper, reported that a one-story private house, a business, trucks, and cars were engulfed in flames due to the attack. Tragically, one person lost their life, and another sustained injuries. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of the deceased during this difficult time.
Meanwhile, in the Kharkiv region, local Ukrainian officials confirmed a separate drone attack. The mayor of Kharkiv disclosed that one of the drone strikes struck a medical facility with individuals inside, sparking a fire and escalating the humanitarian crisis.
Since the phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, where Trump expressed optimism about Putin's intentions to cease hostilities, Russian forces have unleashed a relentless barrage of drone and missile assaults. The toll on Ukrainian civilians has been severe, with dozens losing their lives and hundreds, including numerous children, sustaining injuries.
According to the Ukrainian Airforce, Russia deployed a staggering 267 drones in a single day. The grim statistics reveal that at least 62 civilians have perished, and 293 others have been wounded in the ongoing onslaught, underscoring the urgent need for international intervention to halt the bloodshed.
