Recent nighttime attacks by Russian drones, missiles, and bombs have caused devastation in Kyiv and Kharkiv, Ukraine's largest cities. The assaults resulted in the tragic deaths of four individuals and left 15 others wounded. These aerial onslaughts are part of a sustained campaign that Russia has been conducting against civilian areas in Ukraine for nearly three years, leading to a significant number of casualties.

Furthermore, the Russian military has intensified its efforts in the eastern Donetsk region, where they are aggressively challenging front-line defenses. In a concerning development, reports indicate that North Korea has dispatched approximately 10,000 soldiers to support Russia's military operations in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to address this new threat during a meeting with leaders from Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway, and Sweden in Reykjavik. The situation remains tense as Russian airstrikes persist, with Kharkiv being a recent target of these attacks.

Authorities in Kyiv reported that debris from intercepted Russian drones fell in two districts of the city, leading to injuries for six people. In response to the ongoing attacks, Ukraine has utilized long-range drones to disrupt Russian military operations, even conducting strikes on Russian soil.

Notably, a drone attack targeted a special forces academy in Chechnya, a Russian province located approximately 800 kilometers east of Ukraine. The incident, acknowledged by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, resulted in a fire that was swiftly extinguished. This marked the first drone attack on Chechnya since the onset of the conflict.
