Early Thursday morning, Russia launched a massive attack on the Ukrainian region of Dnipropetrovsk, according to Serhiy Lysak, the head of the region's military administration. Lysak reported significant damage to an industrial enterprise in the regional capital, Dnipro, as well as two fires in the city.
Additionally, a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities was damaged in the attack, although fortunately, there were no reported casualties. However, two individuals were wounded when two private houses were hit during the assault.
Lysak highlighted the response efforts following the attacks, noting that public utilities were working at the emergency sites, the National Police were accepting reports of property damage, and philanthropists were providing assistance to affected individuals. This included psychological support and materials for quick repairs.
Notably, Lysak did not address the Ukrainian authorities' claim that Russia had utilized an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in the assault on Dnipro, which would mark a significant escalation in the conflict that has spanned over 1,000 days.
