
New Delhi: Russia has officially invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the May 9th celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over Germany in World War II. According to Dynamite News correspondent, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Andrei Rudenko, has said that Moscow is expecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the May 9 parade.
This is the biggest honor that Russia extends to any foreign dignitary by inviting them to the Victory Day parade in Moscow. In Russia, the Victory Day parade is a very significant event that takes place every year on May 9th, celebrating the victory of Russia and the Allied forces over Nazi Germany at the end of World War II.

It is also one of those parades that inspired the 26th January parades here in India as well. And the May 9th
parade is one of the most significant diplomatic events in which the foreign heads of states are invited, just like, on Republic Day we invite foreign dignitaries.
And Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to meet Vladimir Putin on May 9th and visit Moscow, as Moscow has now extended an official invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this mega military parade on May 9th.
