During talks in Saudi Arabia, Yuri Ushakov, a presidential aide to Vladimir Putin and a member of Moscow's negotiating team, revealed that Russia and the United States have agreed to consider each other's interests. Ushakov described the negotiations as having gone 'not bad' when asked by Russia's Channel One about the outcome.

While Ushakov noted that it is challenging to determine if the positions of Russia and the US are converging, he mentioned that the two countries addressed this issue during their discussions in Riyadh.
