Russell Wilson is going to want this one back.
And in the moment and after the game, that went for KJ Hamler.
In the Denver Broncos’ awful 12-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, a Thursday night game so heinous, fans started leaving during a TIED GAME, BEFORE OVERTIME, Wilson had a 4th-and-1 from the Colts’ five-yard line.
A touchdown would win it and salvage the night. Instead, he threw it incomplete, with a pass broken up.
But he had Hamler SO WIDE OPEN and completely missed him. The receiver smashed his helmet against the ground, and rightfully so.
Let’s break it all down:
Oh no
Hamler looks to be the clear primary here.
How do you not see the guy breaking wide open, clear across your face?

KJ Hamler’s reaction is a reaction I seen from DK far too often when we had Russ. Time and time again Russ has shown us he he had a tendency to hold on to the ball too long and make ill-advised throws. 48 million dollars ladies and gentleman. pic.twitter.com/w5FPMUZ53T

Hamler had this to say
#broncos WR K.J. Hamler to me on the final play of the game. “I could have walked in.”

Watch KJ Hamler at the top of the screen come wide open across the middle.
Russ never even looked that way. Yikes.
What a game. 😂#TNF pic.twitter.com/Hvju8Idv3B
