Russell Wilson hands off to Marshawn for ole time’s sake ahead of Steelers game

Nostalgia seems to be the word of the week for the Seattle Seahawks. They wore their throwback jerseys on Thursday, they had Walter Jones and Marcus Trufant raise the 12th Man Flag for their two games, and now, a bit of recent memory resurfacing.

For the first time this season, Russell Wilson is officially active for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wilson has been dealing with a calf injury, and has only been the emergency third-string quarterback. Now, ahead of their game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Wilson was warming up.

During the warmups, an old friend by the name of Marshawn Lynch was on the field. Lynch, a former Raider himself, can pretty much go wherever he wants in the NFL these days… and as he should. In Vegas, Lynch was interacting with the Steelers, including his former quarterback.

For ole times sake, during the warmups, Lynch took one more handoff from Wilson.

A lot has been written about Russell Wilson over the past two-plus years since he forced his way out of Seattle. Not all of it positive, especially when it came to intrapersonal relationships with teammates. However, it is great to see two of the most iconic Seahawks of all time, regardless of what they may be wearing at the moment, exchange some pleasantries.

Because no matter what, their histories are forever intertwined.
