“You maniacs! You blew it up!”
So ranted Charlton Heston at the end of 1968’s Planet of the Apes, upon finding the forgotten ruins of the Statue of Liberty half-buried in the sand. You could forgive Seattle Seahawks fans for feeling the same sentiment right now.
In a shocking blockbuster deal that came out of left field, Seattle is sending franchise quarterback Russell Wilson to the Broncos in exchange for a bunch of draft picks and players. Details of the trade have been trickling in but now we have a definitive account from Adam Schefter at ESPN. He’s reporting that the Seahawks will get QB Drew Lock, DT Shelby Harris and TE Noah Fant in addition to two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and a fifth-round pick. Denver gets Wilson and a fourth in return.

We’ll have more on this franchise and era altering deal as it comes in.
