Swansea City are aiming to end a seven-game winless run when they travel to Reading after Christmas.
The Swans appeared destined for an emphatic defeat following a wretched display for an hour at Coventry City before a stunning late surge saw them come from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Mark Robins' side.
Players had two days off after that encounter at the CBS Arena and are now being put through their paces once again at Fairwood before being given a rare chance to spend Christmas Day with their loved ones owing to the schedule change that now means the Reading game will take place in front of the Sky Sports cameras on December 27.
It will give Russell Martin and his coaching staff ample time to ponder any selection issues that may be running through their minds. At the midway stage of the season, there appears to be a greater spotlight on team selection now than at any other stage this term following the dramatic draw with Coventry.
The impact of Joe Allen, Armstrong Oko-Flex, Harry Darling, Ollie Cooper and Liam Cullen off the bench at Coventry was raised by both Martin and Robins, such was the impression they collectively made on the game.
Despite having to come from 2-0 down to win 3-2, Swansea produced arguably their most complete display of the season against Reading earlier this season, and they will expect to dominate the ball at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
Indeed, the Swans' average tally of 63.3 per cent possession is the most of any side in the Championship this term while Reading's average total of 42.2 per cent is the third-lowest.
The courage and execution in the final third that was so badly lacking for an hour at Coventry will be sorely needed at Reading if the Swans are to secure their first triumph since beating Cardiff City 2-0 almost two months ago.
Cullen is likely to continue on the bench, particularly given Michael Obafemi's injury situation - with Martin hoping Joel Piroe's goal at Coventry can be the start of an upturn in fortunes for the Dutchman.
As for Oko-Flex and Allen, they find themselves in difficult situations. Allen was hugely impressive off the bench against Norwich City and Coventry but is competing with Matt Grimes and Jay Fulton - arguably the Swans' two best performers at present - for a place in the team.
Oko-Flex's directness and ability to beat a man is refreshing to say the least, although, as the Wigan Athletic draw highlighted, his tracking back at times leaves a little to be desired.
Darling and Cooper could be vital against the Royals and appear to have a far greater chance of being deployed from the outset in Berkshire. Darling is only too happy to carry the ball upfield from the backline which could be key should Reading sit deep and operate on the counter attack as expected while he is also a real threat from set-pieces.
As for Cooper, he put Coventry's defence firmly on the back foot due to his dribbling ability and energy, something that Olivier Ntcham and Jamie Paterson were unable to bring during their time on the pitch.
Ultimately, the Swans will simply want to start on the front foot to buck the concerning trend of failing to score the opening goal in any of their previous seven outings.
Obafemi could yet make Martin's decision even harder should he be deemed available to face Paul Ince's outfit, although, one would suspect the Republic of Ireland international would start on the bench at best.
Despite a frustrating run of results, the Swans are just two points adrift of the play-off spots, and a couple of wins could dramatically change the outlook of the Championship table given the inconsistency of sides in the hunt for a top six berth at present.
This could well be one of the most difficult team selections of the season for Martin, but, it is undoubtedly a welcome dilemma for the head coach who will be expecting a big reaction from his squad following their astonishing comeback last time out.
