Russell Martin admits Swansea City's transfer business has come to a "standstill" with fewer than four weeks to go until deadline day.
The Swans have recruited Harry Darling, Matty Sorinola, Joe Allen and Nathan Wood this summer but are eager to further add to their options. However, they desperately need to offload more fringe players in a bid to free up funds and squad places before adding new recruits.
And ahead of his side's first home game of the campaign against Blackburn Rovers, Martin admits the club are prepared to act swiftly when they are able to do further business.

"It’s just at a bit of a standstill," said the head coach. "That’s where we’re at. It might happen later on, tomorrow, next week, I just don’t know.
"Until it does, Josh [Marsh] and the gang are working hard behind the scenes. We had a meeting yesterday about it all.
"We have to be ready for whenever we can do some business, if we can, and we will be ready. But until then I'll keep giving the same boring answer unfortunately."
Swansea have been linked with numerous players this summer, including Leeds United's Cody Drameh. Martin is eager to bolster his wing-back options and identified the 20-year-old as a potential target.
The Swans explored the option of a loan deal for the former Cardiff City player, although the Whites were keen to sell him permanently, and Martin's men were unable to match their valuation given their current financial situation.
When asked about Drameh, Martin responded: "We’ll publish our list later if you want! There’ll be loads of players we talk about.
"Some will be fairly real interest and some will be far out there and nowhere near it. We have lists for everything. We have a list for potential loan signings, a list for potential transfer fees if we were to move anyone else on for large sums, hopefully we don’t, hopefully we can keep that guy there.
"We have to be prepared for everything. We are prepared. There’ll be plenty of lists and plenty of names. We just have to wait and see."
Meanwhile, Joe Allen will miss his side's contest with Blackburn. The midfielder is continuing to recover from a hamstring injury but is due to return to action next week.
“We are nearly there, Joe is the only one who will probably miss out. He will be back next week for sure, but Saturday will probably be too early for him,” said Martin.
“We are desperate to involve him, and he is desperate to be involved. But it’s a long season and we are conscious of what is going on in November (the World Cup) for him, too. So, we are treading carefully, but he will be back next week and everyone else is fit and well."
Kick-off against Rovers is at 3pm on Saturday.
