Russell Martin is reportedly in the frame for the vacant Rangers job, according to a report.
Philippe Clement was last night sacked by the Scottish Premiership giants.
The Belgian was relieved of his duties by the Ibrox board following Saturday's dismal 2-0 loss at home to St Mirren.
Rangers will make the short journey down the M77 on Wednesday night to face Kilmarnock with a caretaker manager in charge of the first team.
It is expected that either under-18s coach Kevin Thomson and/or Clement’s No.2 Issame Charai will take the team for the game at Rugby Park.
Moving beyond that match, The Scottish Sun claims that former Gers defender Russell Martin is in the frame to take over.
Martin, 39, is out of work having lost his job at Southampton earlier this season.

The report states he's being considered as a 'serious contender' by key figures in the Ibrox boardroom following Sunday's dismissal of Clement.
A club statement yesterday confirmed: “Rangers Football Club can confirm it has tonight parted company with men’s first-team manager, Philippe Clement.
“The club would like to put on record their sincere thanks to Philippe for his hard work and dedication during his spell in charge.
“A further update from the club will follow in due course.”
