It’s official – Russell Crowe is joining upcoming Marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder.
After weeks of speculation, the 57-year-old actor confirmed that he has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming superhero sequel.
"I'm gonna get on my bicycle," he said during an interview with Australian radio station, Joy94.9. "I'm gonna ride up to Disney Fox studios, and round about 9:15, I shall be Zeus. It's for Thor. It's my last day of Zeus-ing about and I'm going to enjoy it."
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently filming in Australia.
And rumours began to fly after Russell Crowe was spotted hanging out with the cast.

But has he landed a beefy role in the Thor sequel or a walk on part?
Last month, Deadline reported that Russell Crowe had landed a ‘fun cameo’ in the upcoming Marvel movie. So, it looks as though the legendary Gladiator star probably won’t be seen on screen for very long.
Still, it’s an interesting role, and one that could affect the future of Marvel movies.
In the comic books, Zeus is one of The Olympians – a group of characters inspired by the Greek gods of myth and legend. Similar to Thor, who is inspired by Norse mythology, The Olympians had their own comic book series.
Hailing from Olympus, a pocket dimension which exists parallel to Earth, The Olympians include the likes of Apollo, Ares and Hercules.
Notably, Zeus has been known to fight alongside the mighty Thor from time to time.
And this small cameo could open up possibilities further down the line.
Russell Crowe joins Chris Hemsworth, who returns to the role of Thor. The cast also includes Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and Christian Bale who will reportedly play the film's villain.
Thor: Love and Thunder will open in cinemas on May 6, 2022.
