Russell Brand was mobbed by fans as he appeared in a Merseyside town.
The presenter and comedian took to the stage at the Theatre Royal in St Helens on May 25. After the show the 46-year-old could be seen hugging and chatting to fans as they took pictures.
One fan, Fiona Burgess described the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star as 'lovely'. She told the ECHO: "He was absolutely so lovely! Honestly. When I was stood waiting I started crying because I was so excited and he hugged me and told me 'it’s okay, we are all here and we are all safe' then he took a selfie of us."

Others took to Facebook to share their thoughts. One fan added: "We’ve seen him in Manchester and he always has time to stop and chat, take photos."
