Footage has emerged of a pitch invader being absolutely floored by a steward during a Super Rugby Pacific match in New Zealand.
The brutal takedown occurred during the Blues' 71-28 victory over the Rebels on Friday, May 6, at Auckland's Eden Park.
The security guard has seemingly thrown his hat in the ring for the tackle of the season for stopping the man in his tracks after he caused an abrupt break in play.
The shirtless male, running on the slippery pitch in bare feet, managed to avoid one steward but he couldn't repeat his luck, being on the receiving end of a side-on shoulder-high challenge by a second security guard who he didn't see approaching.
The tattooed man was then escorted from the field by three stewards as the rest of the game was played out.
