Sporting CP defender Ruben Vinagre has broken his silence amid rumours linking him with a move to Everton.
The ECHO understands the Blues are interested in the former Wolves man and director of football Kevin Thelwell is known to be a fan of the player. Reports elsewhere in the media on Tuesday evening claim a deal is on the verge of completion and an agreement has been 'reached'.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano says the first part of Vinagre's medical has been completed as he's set to join on loan with an option to buy. Such reports have been followed by the player himself sharing a message on social media.

The 23-year-old left Wolves for Portugal on a permanent basis earlier this summer following a successful loan spell with Sporting last season. Now, he could be set to return to England with Everton.
Vinagre posted on his personal Instagram account with a message to his current club, saying: "Thankyou, best of luck for this season." The hint suggests he could now be closing in on a move elsewhere, with Goodison Park the reported destination.
Should a deal be completed, Vinagre will become Everton 's second signing of the summer after defender James Tarkowski joined on a free transfer from Burnley earlier in the window. With just a matter of weeks until the Premier League season kicks off, Frank Lampard will hope for additions to boost his squad ahead of the new campaign.
