RTE viewers in stitches after Brian Cox drops F bomb on Late Late Show

The Late Late Show's latest episode left viewers in hysterics after a famous guest cussed up a storm.

Ryan spoke to Scottish actor Brian Cox on Friday night, who played Logan Roy in the hit series 'Succession.' Brian went into great detail about his role on the HBO show, where his character regularly tells his children to f*** off.

The 76-year-old revealed that he was approached once by fans of the series, who asked him for a favour. Luckily, Brian was more than happy to oblige with the witty request.

He told Ryan: "They asked to take a video of me. They asked me if I could please them them to f*** off."

The Dundee born actor initially asked permission for Ryan to drop the F bomb live on air, which was granted. However, his swearing tirade didn't end there as Brian went on to discuss the incident in greater detail.

He added: "Ah f*** off. 50 years of a major classical career playing everything under the sun and finally... 'Oh he was known for his famous f*** off'!"

Viewers took to Twitter in the aftermath of Brian's unabridged storytelling. They praised his blunt honesty, although some Twitter users predicted an onslaught of complaints via Joe Duffy.

One user wrote: "Brian Cox has just used up all of the Late Late Shows f-word quota for the year."

Another suggested: "I'd say @joeliveline answering machine will be full when they arrive back on Monday with complaints about the Late Late Show."

Brian spoke at length about his illustrious life and acting career, as well as his Irish connections. He was one of several guests to feature on the show, alongside influencer Santis O'Garro and Irish artists who are performing in the upcoming TradFest.

Santis discussed her personal experience with debt and how to combat the cost of living crisis, while the Tradfest musicians regaled viewers with a range of performances. Tradfest will take place from the 25 to the 29 January in Temple Bar.
