RTE viewers were full of praise for Evan Ferguson after his interview with Tony O'Donoghue.
Ferguson started for the first time for Ireland and scored as he impressed.
The Brighton forward is among the most exciting prospects in recent years and spoke to Tony O'Donoghue after the game.
He said: "Yesterday I seen I was getting the start and I was just trying to get in and get the tactics right and try and get myself prepared for the game. Being a striker I had a goal on my mind and it was nice to get the goal.
"I think it's similar role to what I do in Brighton and I'm comfortable. (The season) has just gone so quickly there are no breaks to sit back and think what I'm doing and every week there is another thing going and another game so just trying to concentrate on the next."
And viewers were full of praise for Ferguson after his interview.
One RTE viewer said: "Brilliant Evan Ferguson, what a level-headed young man".
While another said: "Ferguson is the star of the future, well done Evan".
Ireland are next in action on Monday against France.
